you seem pretty confused, maybe you should ask a question.
at the least you need a “It’s my fault as I didn’t read the app store description” option.
I’m not confused. I installed the server, add 1 clip, installed W10 app and got asked to pay 4.99 to playback more than 1 minute of MY CONTENT.
This is NOT FREE in any way you want to see it.

You still need to ask more questions…
The Windows 10 App is NOT free, but it IS junk.
Plex Media Player is free:
top of forum/downloads/get an app
That makes PMS free, PMP free and your poll/rant a complete waste of time for us and an embarrassment to you.

it clearly states in the store that media playback from the server requires unlocking the app.
and then it clearly states that unlocking cost money.
that is the STORE not the website.
This is where the word free is FALSE:
and here
you MUST Put: Playback as PREMIUM functionality!
It’s intentionally NOT written there!
@msavazzi great job on your first post here!
Hopefully you will abandon Plex soon and go back to Kodi (forever)! :#

Read the other posts again:
Get Plex media player from Plex.tv and playback IS free of charge.
And please stop making a fool of yourself.
You are still confusing the Store version with the Desktop version (PMP)
Read the Store release notes (as posted above) instead of the Desktop App release notes (PMP)
I’m NOT confusing them. On the website under the URL I wrote there is:
then the list of Free / Premium.
There is NO mention of the costs for UAPP (that by the way can be generated with the UAPP converter from MS and has no cost)
Read carefully Plex Website! There is where the FRAUD is!
On the Plex Website you MUST specify which are free and which do require a spendnding just to perform the most basic functionality in the world: To playback a piece of content
Plex Website is the source of the information, No one will read All possible marketplace small notices to discover which is the cost. That MUST be on the Plex Website.
If I have 2 iOS devices, 2 PC, 1 android devices, 1 tv, 1 nvidia I will NOT go through 5 stores to check the price, I will read the sections on the Website.
This is why is a FRAUD!
They provide FALSE information on the website and hide the cost on the Marketplaces.

It is stated on the website, you’ve just truncated your first screenshot to attempt to make your point.
Plex website does mention which apps require a charge
It’s even in the screenshot you posted above

you’re right!
Now I found it. I had to read 2 times your snap to find it.
you’ve just truncated your first screenshot to attempt to make your point.
Not intentional.
I do get that the Bullet on the free is WRONG.
There should be a line for the FREE ones
and one line for the NON FREE ones.
OR a half bullet

so, it’s stated on the website, and stated in the store at point of sale - I’d suggest you modify this post if you don’t want to just look like someone who went off on a rant because they can’t read.
I do agree partially with you.
The site is in any case mischievous as I wrote:

I’ve updated the title to be more precise
thank you for the support
Just say “I’m sorry for the confusion, my bad!” and go and have a nice weekend.
Plex is many things, but not a fraud. The website, Windows Store and everything else clearly states what you are getting. And you get a lot for free!! Period.
When you’re ready to move on to a New World and show some consideration, especially for people that are actually working here and depending on it to feed their family, invest a bit of your money into a Plex Pass (whatever flavour or/and your wallet allows).
Peace,
anthonws.
I think it’s funny that this guy is referring folks to Kodi. Does he not know that Plex is a fork off of Kodi and developers of Plex are the same developers of Kodi, formerly XMBC? Maybe this troll needs to do some research while he is drafting his apology. Start here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plex_(software)#Birth

Plex is NOT a fork of Kodi. Plex started as (a continuation of OSXBMC) fork of XBMC. Last remnants of XBMC died when PHT died.
Problem is not KODI/XBMC related at all. It is rather FREE vs PAID.
Sorry, that’s what I meant regarding fork. Moving on.
