WD My Cloud Home. Remote Access Stopped Working!

Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402
Player Version#:

Yesterday my Plex was working just fine. I was using Plex on my iPhone watching a movie remotely when suddenly I kept on getting this message that said “Plex could not create a playback session for this item.” I would have to close the app on my phone and reopen until it stopped working altogether. When I got home I rebooted my WD My Cloud Home and to my DELIGHT (sarcasm there) My Cloud Home deletes all my content, media, movies, etc. only to put them right back. (I really hate that). And I have to reupload everything only this time REMOTE ACCESS is not available outside of my network. Please help!

I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting router, signing in and out of plex, restarting my laptop, etc. Can you help please? I’ve always been able to use Remote Access and ever since this update that happened a week ago, remote access has been a problem.

I have a similar issue.
Also using the WD MCH, with Plex version 1.16.3.1402.

Yesterday I had some problems as well. Plex deleted all my files and had trouble finding them again (this happens every so often though).
But today my Plex disconnects every 10 minutes. After 5 minutes it comes back online. Just repeats like this.
In the down time I can still access my files from my WD MCH via the web interface - but not via Plex itself.

Tried a reboot

Hi there, can you try disabling the [ ] Enable server support for IPv6 option in Plex Web and then restarting your MCH?

You can find it it under Settings > Network

I have this same issue. I turned off the “enable server…” as you indicated. I don’t know what an MCH is or how to restart it. Would you explain please?

MCH = My Cloud Home

Hello chrisallen. I tried disabling server support for IVv6 as you suggested on my settings but still had the same problem when trying to play a movie remotely. Please help!

Thanks,
Gabe

My thanks😊
