WD MyCloud Duo Setup

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7349
Player Version#: 4.113.2
OS: Windows 11 (64 bit)

I have recently bought a WD MyCloud Duo and have been trying to set this up with my Plex server. I already have one pre-existing server but was ready to create a new one with a different name once the MyCloud Duo was set up.

I have tried multiple times to use the MyCloud web app setup for Plex. The problem, however, is that I do the setup, set up the server, but none of the specific files are created by MyCloud and I just get taken back the interface asking me to configure the server.

I have followed all the instructions and possible troubleshooting issues on the Plex site. I have called WD multiple times but they are of absolutely no use whatsoever. I am at a loss as to what to do. Any suggestions would be great.

Thank you !!

I had similar issues with my WD PR4100 NAS and finally just decided to install the Plex server on my pc and use it to just access media files on the PR4100. It’s been working fine that way for years.

I tried mapping the drive to my computer. But, what path does one direct the plex server to on your computer.? the Duo doesn’t show up the list of directories that the Plex can detect.

I’m not sure I’m understanding you. I didn’t have to map my drive at all. After installing the drive, it just showed up on my desktop. I have my Plex server installed on my desktop (I access it through my network on my Shield or tablet), and all I did was create libraries from the NAS the same way I would with any other desktop drive. Hopefully I’m understanding your issue correctly. I also recommend calling WD with any issues you have. They’ve always been extremely helpful to me.
