What are AVC channels and why can't Plex see them?

I have an HDHomerun Extend with an antenna.
I just rescanned the HDH channels and there are a bunch of channels detected between 1000-1800.
They are called Demo and have an AVC tag next to the HD tag.
I am able to watch them through the HDHomerun software, but they do not get scanned by Plex.
I tried deleting and rebuilding the DVR in Plex using “cable” but then no channels were detected. Rebuilding as “antenna” works like before, missing those AVC channels.

Can someone explain what the problem might be?

I figured it out. Those are not OTA channels, they are a demo of a pay service from HDHomerun ($34.99/month).
