I just noticed movie collections are merged together in my list of movies, and it’s created a damn mess. Who the F@#% thought this was a good idea and then not give us a simple opt out for one of the DUMBEST “features” ever implemented??? There is no obvious way to disable this and I can’t find a way to undo this either. Just stupid.

I’ve just discovered, this mess added more than 1200 titles to my movies list. Good F@#$%NG GOD!
I believe the suiting but politically incorrect response is „just read the ■■■■■■■ manual“. The more polite approach might be not to match your tone and instead point you in the right direction.
This will still include to read the related document/support article. However the short version of it is that for those collections to show up you need to have enabled your library to pick up collection information from The Movie Database… you can deactivate this in your library settings (advanced: use collection information from The Movie Database). In the same section you will also find an option called „Collections“ where you can configure if/how your collections show up inside your library (even if disabled you can still access them via the collections view next to Movies and Folder view)

This feature was added back in Dec '17.

You can also disable it.
Thank you!!! Buried, of course. For some reason this is the first time it kicked in. What a mess it created. Hopefully it just undoes itself.

You’re asking to me to search for something I didn’t know what it was. I’ll remember that the next time I don’t know what I’m looking for. It was not in a newsletter, it was not made clear, and it just implemented on my system for the first time. Three months AFTER it was implemented. I’m not downloading Plex Pass releases, so maybe it just got added to the regular release. Regardless, features like this need to highlighted and explained, not buried in notes. Telling me to read the manual is just dumb, but thanks anyway. The next post solved it, by directing me where to go instead of giving me a condescending wordy lecture.
