On my windows server I can find: Plex Media Server\Resources\Fonts\NotoSans-Medium.otf
But it doesn’t seem like any of the players I tried uses that (Plex Media Player, Chromecast, Samsung TV).
I need to know the exact font used by plex on Chromecast, but the other players would be nice too if different. Can anyone help me with this?

I should have clarified it’s for plex subtitles. I’m writing a script that modifies subtitles and need to know the length of each character. If I knew the font that was used it would be trivial to get.

Not an official answer, but I think I recall seeing in the notes for one of the server upgrades about a year ago that the font was being changed to “Noto” for subtitles.
I was told
open sans semibold, font size is 3.336vh, which translates to 20.016px
