Where can i find audio settings in version 1.7.0

Server Version#:latest
Player Version#:1.7.0

in plex you would have a tv and a desktop mode. in tv mode you could set the audio up so that plex would give all audio auto passthrough because my surroundsystem plays everything. now i have switched to version 1.7.0 without tv mode and the audio is now 2.0 with a 5.1 movie. so it does not pass the audio through via HDMI. where can i adjust this

Use Plex Media Player:

You’re using Plex for Windows/Mac

Two completely different animals.

You can run both - select the one you need when you need it.

Sounds like you got yourself the new desktop client that does not support / act as home theater system (Plex for Windows/Mac)
You should go for the actual Plex Media Player instead (download links included in the respective release announcement):

i have all of my tvs connected to my computer via HDMI. i hate the tv interface. why cant i still use the desktop mode as i Always did, and still setup my audio??? is that too much to ask

i now have plex media player 2.5.2 installed again and the problem is over but as i understand this will soon no longer be supported.

I recently noticed there’s even a beta for Plex Media Player 3.0. Beyond that, there’s been posts that it will not be discontinued for good. They might not add all kind of new features but the app will be maintained.

We have been promised PMP will be available, but it won’t have Desktop mode.

When the switch is finally made and if a riot erupts, join in.
I’ll be there handing out mutton shanks and pitchforks.
