Why am I getting ads on my phone

I bought a lifetime pass for a personal media server not a streaming service. Why am I getting push ads for the streaming service I never asked for?

I did not buy plex for streaming online movies, I bought it for my media and to cut the cord.

Stop pushings ads in my face for content I never asked for nor want. I bought a media server, leave it at that!

When I open plex on any of my devices I want to go to my server selections not be assulted with an ad for your new streaming endevour. Why are you doing this to your paying customers?

Disable it? See Enable/Disable Access.

Are you talking about the screen that comes up to tell you about a new feature we are offering. It should only show once per device to let you know the feature is there if you want it.

You are missing the issue. As soon as I opened my mobile player the plex player popped up a plex ad for the plex streaming service. There is no disabling that.

If you disable it as mentioned above, then you won’t get that screen.

I had all notifications disabled and I got it anyway. I just reset it again on then off in notifications.

It’s not a notification thing. You need to disable the provider. If you did have that disabled, it’s possible the Android app is missing something, but again, it should only appear once.
