I’ve just discovered Plexamp, and thought that this would be the perfect controller for listening to my music with my AppleTV 4k. But neither on Android nor on my iPad it is possible to select Plex. - although it is advertised in the list.
Remote/casting works with the Plex app - and Plexamp is able to display then what the remote player plays.
Shouldn’t this be working with Plexamp too?

Seems to be working fine on my system.
Plex on the Apple TV is running/open and I had to refresh the list of targets – but once I selected the Apple TV, Plexamp immediately started flinging music to it.
You will probably need a running Plex server in the same local network as the ATV and the mobile.
Strange. Of course they are all in my home network. and my Plex App on the Apple TV 4K is listed as a possible target. But when I try to connect it, it says that it can’t connect to the remote player. (But when there is a title playing already, the title is listed below the name of the remote player.)
With the Plex App, remote controlling works.
Sounds like Otto was onto something… especially if the app is talking about a “remote player”. Can you confirm the two devices are on the same subnet? Sometimes routers establish different subnets for wired and wireless connections (or users do so accidentally while operating a series of routers without activating “bridge mode” in the ones connecting to the main router).
The Plex server is running on my Synology 220+ (DSM 7).
And all devices are in the same local net:
IP: 192.168.10.xx subnet: 255.255.255.0
I’ve installed the Plex app and Plexamp today on my iPad, in exactly the same way. And with one it works, with the other not…
Best to post Plexamp logs after failing to connect so we can all stop guessing what the issue might be 
One difference is the Plex app does network discovery, so it might be accessing the Apple TV at a different IP.
So here is the log.
My IPs are:
Android Smartphone: 192.168.10.45
iPad: 192.168.10.78
FireTV: 192.168.10.56
AppleTV 4K: 192.168.10.79
The connection to FireTV works a little bit, but far from usable. The AppleTV IP is not even listed in the log.
In the plex app, everythings looks and works as it should.

If the FireTV is “AFTKA” there is evidence of the known issue with the Android web server which I’ve reported to the team.

I’m only seeing references to players AFTKA, Android, iPad von Martin, I’m guessing none of those are the Apple TV?
Only thing I can suggest is make sure remote control is enabled on the Apple TV app, and if that’s done, get some debug logs from it and we can have a look.
