Why Did My Plex Media Server Get so Large?

Did you fill out the manual path when creating the share?

And if not, create a new share, and name it Plextmp2

Yes I did, but to make sure, I stopped Plex again, then I deleted the new PlexTmp share, created the new one (see below), Checked it in Filestation, and it was there, so I started Plex again. 2nd shot shows it’s not in PlexTmp. I looked at the original folder (/share/CACHEDDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library) and the new ‘tmp’ folder shows up there.

When selecting the path for the share, browse to it, just to make sure, use the Arrow down

Which share, in the original location (I deleted the tmp folder the last start of Plex put there), or the new share via File Station?

Does creating the PlexData share I setup following the steps you sent me have anything to do with it. Do I need to do a migrate?

Like this?

Yes, just like that

Didn’t help. Stopped Plex, deleted the tmp folder on the original library, created the PlexTmp folder using what I posted, it created the new shared PlexTmp folder. I started Plex and plex created a new tmp folder in the original /share/CACHEDDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library folder that has the tmp-old folder I’m still trying to get rid of.

I’m trying to put it on a different volume, is that the problem?

I deleted the share I put on a different volume and created the new share (PlexTmp) on the same volume as the app and I see the tmp file know along with the tmp-old folder which I’m trying to delete via the QNAP. When I created the PlexData share, I put it on a different volume that the app, do I need to delete that and recreate it on the same volume as the app?

Yes, and you kinda answered it your self, IMHO
