Windows 10 & Looking for Server

Even tried firefox with no luck

I’m pretty sure something is wrong on the Plex side, as I’m suddenly unable to sign in to my account. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly.

@ChuckPa, are the Plex servers having trouble right now?

Not having any issues myself, but I was just wondering if something is going on as I’m see numerous posts.
Plex status did show a slight dip earlier.

My message just changed to an ā€œinternal service error, something’s wrong on our endā€. At least PMS knows there’s something wrong on the homeworld.

I’d say plex.tv application server might be offline…

Chupacabra!

Ok, time for a cup of tea.

For reasons nobody can explain… they went stupid. Nobody was doing anything. The Operations team went in and it’s back up.

Unfortunately it’s still down. Still having issues.

Ok. Now seems to be working again.

My network/secure connection was set to PREFERRED. I changed that to DISABLE and I was able to access via Chrome now and my phone. and my TV. It is working now for the moment

I’ve been unable to actually use my plex servers for quite some time. I switched from virtual machine to bare metal, I tried another bare metal server. Permissions and install are all good. I’ll stream video one moment and then have access/authentication errors the next. Then the servers would slowly all drop off the network one by one.

I have to say plex should make these servers a bit more resilient. If we are hosting our own servers there should be no losing access on our own lans.

  1. right click plex media server and hit ā€œopen plugins folderā€
now delete the whole plex folder not just the plugins folder

  2. uninstall plex

  3. Delete the reg entry.

for windows: hold Windows key+R

Search for…Its ā€œuserā€ keys or something like that…user being the key word. Then search for the ā€œsoftwareā€ folder. In that folder, you will find a plex folder. Delete that.

reinstall plex server
