Windows 11 PC cannot login to Plex.tv

Server Version#: 1.32.6973
Player Version#:

Have been running a plex server for a few years, recently my admin account remote access to my library.
All remote home users still had access.

As a part of fault finding I uninstalled plex server.

I now cannot claim my server. This issues seem to be that my windows 11 PC/ Plex server cannot connect to plex.tv.

I can load the webpage but when I try to login I get a " there was a problem signing into plex".

Even with my VPN and Plex uninstalled from my pc I still cannot login to Plex.tv

I am able to login on my laptop and mobile, on and off my home wifi.

Things I have tried:
-PC time sync ( made sure time and date are correct)

  • changed DNS settings, changed to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
-used multiple browsers ( chrome, Edge, Mozilla)
-Added plex.tv to trusted sites in internet options
  • unenabled in internet options>Advanced>security - check for publishers certificate revocation & check for server certificate revocation.
-Changed Ethernet adaptor as DHCP, Static and DHCP with IP reservation.
  • downgraded plex to older version.
  • changed my plex password.
  • deleted browser/ internet cache and cookies. Also removed/disabled all pop up blockers
    -disabled all security firewalls
-started fresh, backed up my plex registry files and localappdata folder, then deleted them. uninstalled plex and started fresh.
-Looked into http and https, seems plex only uses HTTPS

I haven’t provided plex logs as even with plex completely removed form my PC I still have the issue. When my PC can login in to plex.tv I believe PMS will be able to too.

I have read through every forum and webpage I can find about this issue but nothing has fixed the issue so far.

Any and all help would be much appreciated as I have put so much time and effort into building my plex server.

Plex save my plex server.

Hi can I have my certificate reset as well please?

Do you think this will help?

Thanks!

See if your hosts file is clean.

Reset anything else to defaults. There is no need to disable any of the anti virus and firewall software which comes by default with Windows.

Any device which is not the Plex server or a file server doesn’t need a static IP.

Hey,

Only the PMS has a static IP

Are the host files just the LOCALAPPDATA files?
I took a back up of them, they completely removed PMS with the registry files and local app data plex folder.
I still had the same issue.
Is there a certain file that would cause this issue , or one I should be looking for?
Thanks

It’s just one file.

Your VPN might have reconfigured your network stack much more deeply than you thought.
You might wanna reset it to defaults as well: https://www.howtogeek.com/803098/how-to-reset-the-tcpip-stack-on-windows/

Mate thank you so much.
Resetting the host files fixed it.
