After a clean install of the Windows Player, I was trying to download a couple movies for a trip and it shows and “unexpected error”.

This is a disappointing bug. I think it’s the same situation as Downloads not working in Mac Desktop app.
We’ll release a hotfix this week.
Hot fix has been released. Please see these instructions to enable downloading if you previously attempted downloads in 1.3.0 on a fresh install
However, any existing downloads will be “lost”!
