Windows PMS scans show files being processed but empty libs or playback errors

I have been using Plex for many years without issue… I started experiencing failure earlier this week when I upgraded to 1.32. The first thing I noticed was music scan not picking up new files.

I have tried uninstalling (including deleting registry and removing appdata files). I have done this multiple times with current 1.32 build, 1.31, 1.30, and 1.25 builds. Right now I remain on 1.31 with the issues described below persisting.

For music, I will attempt a scan. The scan will show files but the library will come back empty. (PLEX 01.png). For video, the scan returns poster images and shows/episodes but the play back give an error (PLEX 02.png).

I have also ensured the windows firewall is allowing plex. I have tried changing sharing settings on my media storage drives. I have moved a handful of files to my C drive and tried scanning a few know valid files, but the same problems occur. I have multiple hard drives mapped, one for music and one for video. This has been working for many years for me. The music files are valid and play through the windows media player..

Can anyone help me? The latest PMS has not fixed this problem (1.32.0.6950-8521b7d99).

Would love some help on this as I am a plex pass owner. For now plex is unusable. Emby however is working very well… I don’t want to abandon plex but I can’t use it. Can anyone suggest anything?

I started seeing this with TV Shows. Anything newer than 5 days does not show up.
