When is the windows store app going to get an update to include some of the quality of life features such as collections and enhanced home pages?
The Windows store app is 2 years behind.
They likely put their resources into Plex Media Player that you can download from here. Any reason why you can’t use that version instead?
I didnt realize they were different. I will give it a try.
So the Plex Media Player app would be the perfect solution but for some reason I have limited mouse support in TV layout mode which is a problem as I all I have to control it is a mouse.
I prefer the big screen mode for my setup as I am watching plex on a laptop using a 42" tv as the monitor.
In big screen mode I click on the movies and instead of having the servers pop up under that tab like it does on the Xbox One it just goes to one of them, and I can’t control which of the movie servers.
The scroll wheel also doesn’t seem to work.
I have tested the TV Layout mode on another computer with the same limited mouse support however I see it works fine with a Keyboard (which I lack in that room).
Any Chance this app has a setting somewhere I am missing that enables full mouse support for TV Layout mode?
The TV mode of PMP is made for operation by keyboard (or remote control) only.
Which I guess returns me to my original question which is, will the Windows 10 Store App get an update as that works perfectly for my needs, but I would be interested in seeing the quality of live additions made to the other apps added to that one. Is that ever planned for the future to bring it up to the same level as the other apps?
Also, I am seeing the Windows 10 Store App come pre-loaded on more and more new PC’s and Laptops, I would hope Plex would want their best foot forward for people just getting into Plex that learn about it through the pre-loaded Windows 10 Apps.
