me too. no window pop up for PIN login…

The true solution is that you don’t need to enter any username or password, something you would have known if you had read the manual on how the PIN login procedure works. Link below.
Okay, It’s work now. I don’t now why. The only thing I did more is to go to plex.tv/pin before launching Plex on my samsung TV. I don’t know if it’s normal becauseI have seen anywhere written.
But thanks you ![]()
with this it works: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/924710/#Comment_924710
THANKS ORCA
I just re-downloaded the Plex App onto my Samsung TV. It gave me a “Register Account” button to enter the Plex details. However, it’s asking for my “Plex Service ID” & “Password.” I tried my user name in the plex service ID field. It didn’t work. Where can I find my “Plex Service ID?”
Thanks

Better start with downloading the manual, it explains how this all works. link below.
I sounded complicated, but in fact it take 5 min to do.
For anyone doing it, when creating the account, no need to enter an email, simply enter DEVELOP where it ask for the email.
Tks @Orca for the fix.
@Orca , do you have any news regarding samsung testing the 1.019 version for the 2011 Samsung models. I have tried everything now, and I just can’t get the plex app on my UE46D6500 working again after the update on the server. I manually removed the TV from the server under devices, reset my smart hub, created develop account in smart hub, tried uploading the v. 1.019 from SammyWidget (only have MAC’s so VM was build, after tried to start the app and still getting the cannot login. Then I try to registre the account ind the account management but it still fail the login. I have typed it 5 times and tested the login from my MAC and it works. I am lost of idea’s right nnow
I am really close at getting crazy
Thanks
HELL YAY. Turned off TV, Un-Pluged the network cabel, turned TV on, pluged in cabel, started SmartHub, logged in with “normal” account, started PLEX and BOOOOOM, pin code was present. Damn what a trip down the lane :_)… Thanks @Orca for your extremly helpfull guide’s and a awesome product
I don’t see any recent activity on this post, but it describes my situation exactly. I read and tried just about everything suggested here and now I understand why it doesn’t let you enter a username --> it’s using a pin system. However, the app never presents a pin to me as is suggested on p. 22 of the App Manual Ver. 1.016. - even if I reinstall the app or reset the device. The same is true if I install the user app ver. 1.019.
Any ideas?
I’m using a Samsung BD-C6800 (2010 model).
For everyone still having a problem - try the steps listed by @systemshark in this thread - https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/206712/version-2-005-cannot-connect-to-the-plex-website/p5
- Update the TV’s firmware
- Delete & re-install Plex app
It worked for me…!!!
I am getting this problem as well. When I follow the guidelines provided by Orca, I do not see the extra meny item after logging in with the “develop” account and pressing the “Tools” button, so I get stuck there

Samsung Smart-hub is no longer supported. It’s time to buy a box like a Roku for Example.
We don’t want more freaking boxes or remotes.
No choice my friend, as i said it’s no longer supported.
@dane22 can you close this one also please
