Working Plex Fix for Xbox One

The following method works in order to get Plex running on an Xbox One again.

  1. Ensure that Plex Server is running.
  2. Turn on Xbox and Sign-In
  3. Launch Plex and wait for the error message stating that the server cannot be found
  4. Press the Options Button on you Xbox Remote (The three lines to the right of the home button)
  5. Go to Settings
  6. Got to Security and change the setting to “Allow - On same network as Server”
  7. Go back and you will get the error message again.
  8. Select “Go Home”
  9. It should load, if it does not, go back to the settings and select allow then hit “Go Home” and it should work. You can then set it back to “Allow - On same network as server”

Hope this works for everyone as it did for me. I did nothing else.

No luck. Server still says “offline” even though it correctly identifies the server name and every other device in my house can see the server and play media from it.
