Wrong Cover via the new Plex Musicbrainz Scanner? How to fix?

Hi,

PMP for Mac Version 1.4.1.940-574c2fa7
PMS on Synolgy Version 1.18.2.2058

After setting up a new music library, I can see Plex is showing a lot of wrong/false/new/irritating covers for albums, which I have embedded album art for.

An example:

The album art, Plex fetched from somewhere:

This is the embedded cover, which I want to see/use, when browsing the library:

How can I prefer embedded album art ?

I can’t find a way to set up agents as it was possible before the new Musicscanner appeared in Plex.

Another example (Artist instead of Cover):

Another example, seems Plex was unable to finish the cover download:

The files have this embedded:

Do you have prefer local metadata enabled for that library?

Sure.
Otherwise I wouldn’t expect my own covers.

You can see my library settings in this post.

I’m glad, I’m the only one with such a annoying problem of all the Plex user,
but nobody (of the staff) knows a switch I can set or has an idea on how to fix this issue:

means:
what and where do I have to set up to have Plex prefer my embedded images and only fetch images from the net, when my media files have no emedded images/cover?

What about all those users which are picky about their tediously handpicked covers?

Is everybody now enjoying the autofetched images and nobody cares anymore about their own set up covers? Just curious… Maybe I’m oldschool and need to move on…

Well, why not, we will definately save a lot of time spending with tagging and embedding images to our files, when we just give all the control to plex

sorry I forgot about this setting as well specifically for album art.

Why is it looking for only web covers if it supposed to load them only when local missed?
I do want to use local if they exists and load missed ones from internet

Excuse me, but all of those options (in the open dropdown) are not helping here:

So I guess, its just not possible to set up an order (first local, then non-local) and Plex is disparaging my nice looking covers with random finds from the net/musicbrianz database and letting me wonder, what sh!tty cover I must have added >;-)

It would be nice, if the Plex team would consider to support user, which have a well sorted and tidy music collection, as well, as users which don’t care that much about content of their musicfiles.

sorry i misunderstood. Thought you only wanted local art. I’m making a report to ask for allowing Local First then online if no local available.

I have one more issue with covers here Covers for multidisc audio not shown - #2 by Lonli-Lokli

I have multiple (200) CDs and every CD has on disk internal unique folder.jpg. so it’s now shown .

Actually I think it was implemented but broken now - order of loading should be ruled by order of Assets, but I have Local assets first in.list but it still has mess.

Plex Music does not have options to rearrange in the servers agent settings. Only Personal Media and Last.FM do.

Curious… is there a reason the Plex Music scanner/agent can’t be configured the same way every other agent can be?

I realize there are settings for the library for local metadata like artwork and genre, but it seems odd to not have that option where we know for sure local assets are prioritized.

I suspect, the Plex Team thinks, Musicbrainz is reliable

So its either sink or swim… ?

Last.fm or Musicbrainz …

Hmm…

Please let the Team members / dear developers know about that it would be great to just have it like this:

Scan files for embedded covers or from their folder, if none are found, use MB to fetch covers.

That all. Simple as that.
