this is an error !
Equipe Kaylie is Quebec not France
not the first time imdb has errors in the database
The reason I use Tmdb agent since it exist was for this reason … this kind of discussion with American people relying on imdb about a langage that they don’t care about (imdb not you)
Sale goes for TheTVdb I stopped using this site as admin refused to correct even langage errors (don’t even think about real data errors)
I’ll have to correct data myself and lock the fields or I start tagging the tv show a I do already for my movies at least for titles
This may happen for shows to help disambiguate the title when multiple shows have the same name. If you don’t want the year on the title then you will have to edit the show on your server and remove that part from the title, once saved it will lock that title so it won’t change when you refresh the metadata.
that’s why there’s a database for this and you identify the show another way but not with a wrong name
i had those kinds of discussions years ago with thetvdb team.
look at Magnum PI should be the same
this is just one discussion about the name of a TV show … we could talk about genre
i have mixed genre in French and English in my shows and movies …
This new Plex agent is perhaps ok in English but not in French and probably the same for other langages
Tmdb has correct info
when something goes wrong mostly it’s because I had a typo in a name.
my Plex library has no problem with the tmdb agent.
Plex did a black box with metadata and told people to use this now.
When I check a movie in themoviedb it’s fine and in Plex with the ne agent it is no more !
you want me to blame themoviedb ? the info there are correct in French and with the Plex agent they are not!
i have 216 tv shows that contain the genre “adventure” this is an English word mixed in middle of French words.
should I use my Plex alone I would keep everything in English it’s probably good. in French langage it’s not.
i do not use thetvdb anymore (probable 10 years I stopped)
