Wrong Title TV Show

I’ve uploaded Hunter from 1985-91 yet the info showing is from Hunter
2009 a completely different series and actors. How do I correct this misinformation?

Per TVDB, Hunter actually started in 1984. Try renaming the folder (and files if necessary) to “Hunter (1984)” and scan again.

Alternatively, when you’re looking at the show in PlexWeb, you can click the three dots on the upper right and choose “Fix Match”. It should give you other show possibilities, and you can choose the correct Hunter there.

The first option is the better bet. That way you never need to worry about this hiccup again if you ever need to create a new tvshow library or rebuild your server.

Thank you. I’ve already tried the first option with no luck. Being I’m new, I’m not sure how to access PlexWeb or is that what opens when I start the server?

The easiest way is to go here in a browser that is logged into Plex:

https://app.plex.tv/desktop#

You can manage your whole library from there.

The blindingly fast way is to double click the Plex Icon in the system tray (or right click/Open Plex). <— opening a LOCAL version of Plexweb. (note: set a bookmark)

is the hosted version at Plex.tv and while handy at times the LOCAL version, at my house, is always preferred.

If you’re out there in the world… anywhere… go to Plex.tv, sign in and hit ‘Launch’. Sign out before you leave that terminal in the “coffee shop” in Amsterdam, but there you go.

Oops… For future reference. The Plex Dance ™. Most of us are intimate with it.
Many use it, everyone hates it.

I know I’m going to regret saying this, but in 6 years of using Plex, I’ve never needed to use the dance once.

Some people would rather Dance, than Fix Match.

  1. before we started using FileBot we Danced a LOT more than we do now.
  2. since we started using FileBot, about the only other option is to Fix Match - when the exact, proper, pristine File Name just won’t work.

Thank all the little electric gods for Fix Match. . . I’m getting too old to dance. :wink:
Right now , my biggest problem is locating and fixing old files properly; from back when I started using Plex.I can hardy believe it worked with some of the horrible things I’d done to it.
