WTF did Plex do to the GUI on Roku?

The worst monkeys could have done is fling something at us. They wouldn’t be able to force us to use it.

Agreed, this is a disaster. The old interface was well polished, intuitive, and vetted. Finding things was straight forward and you could prioritize what was important to you, especially when managing a bunch of personal libraries. If I wanted a Netflix look-alike I would sign up there. I’m now installing Jellyfin and migrating away from this mess.

Was just frustrated.. but your right, they don’t seem to care one bit when they wreak their apps given how silent they are with all the complaints.

Had the same problem after I changed my ISP…couldn’t find my server and wouldn’t even explain why….took me 2 friggin days to figure it out…and absolutely no help from Plex. I am now transitioning to JellyFin or even Emby after being a Lifetime PAYING Pass holder for years!

The same disaster on ios

I like this thought. I hope someone with the time to chase it down responds with a way.

The interface still absolutely sucks and is sluggish (moves slow and glitches). When are the rocket scientists who made this horrible UI going to revert it back to the old design? Not everything has to be changed or redesigned. I’m soon going to be looking into switching to another platform because this is getting to the point it’s unusable.

This is an honest question. How often do you visit a product’s forum to praise it because you like what they’ve done or produced. Looking at your posting history here, I’d guess never, but obviously I could be mistaken.

The interface you’re now trying to save (UNO) is the same one you “detested” in 2018. (Obviously, with bug fixes and enhancements over the years. But those can reasonably be expected here, based on the rapid iteration thus far.)

So, accept that there are folks who are ok with the new interface. After all, you eventually got onboard with the previous change.

Why label and make assumptions? There are people who like the new experience interface. But they’re far, far, far less likely to come here to extoll its virtues than those who dislike it. But hey, echo-chamber to your heart’s content.

I don’t know if I should Laugh or cry at the degree of misguided Partisan views present due to change.

I’d recommend crying. And laughing. At the same time.

I mean, it can’t hurt, can it? Medically, that is.

So medicaly speaking, alprazolam or Whisky, or both. It’s depressing the world is so shallow with the sheep mindset.

Lol. You’re speaking my language. I mean both. In moderation, of course.

Do Plex employees ever actually look at these or is it just placebo?

That’s the thing right… DO THEY EVEN CARE??? Seems like customer feedback is discounted and even completely ignored. This says a LOT about the Plex leadership (or lack of). They are running their business and reputation into the ground!!

They simply don’t care. Or, possibly the programmers that did the original implementation are no longer there to support that app, so they brought in someone else. Ive seen it happen at my day job where the competent people are let go or leave and the dev team is left with people that really should not be developers. Sadly, this would at least give them an excuse for such an awful software release…
