Greetings. I have my Xbox 360 client app loaded and connected to my local library. The 360 is connected to a 5.1 surround sound system; however, none of my shows or movies are playing 5.1. I've tried setting the Xbox audio to Dolby digital and Dolby digital w/ WMA Pro (I also have a bunch of wma10 5.1 wmv's).
The receiver LCD is showing Dolby Digital output; however, it's all just DD Stereo.
Yes! A quick google brought me here with the same issue. I'm just about done ripping my DVD/BR collection, and want to run everything through handbrake, so I've been messing with video and audio settings trying to figure it all out. I've tried now with a couple different encode options with AC3 and just a plain DPL II, and my receiver is showing DD anytime the Xbox is on, however I'm only getting L and R.
I'm getting an error when trying to view this post. Anyone know what it means?
Trying to find a proper handbrake rip to allow 5.1 to my Xbox One. When streaming a straight .MKV rip the audio is just fine. But using the Dolby Pro Logic 2 mixdown, seems to drop the rear channels (depsite Handbrake documentation saying it wont). Anyone else experience this?

Update: I seemed to have fix it by setting the Handbrake Codec to Auto Passthru for the Audio. Other than that I use the AppleTV3 default (mainly because of DeComb). Hopefully this helps anyone else experinceing this.
