Xbox 360 not able to connect to Plex Media Server

Hi,
I am having an issue with my Xbox 360 connecting to my Plex Media Server. I downloaded the app from the Microsoft Store fine but I am not able to get the Plex App connect to the Plex Server. I am getting an error saying " Server Unavailable". I am able to connect to the server from any other device: i.e: iPhone, iPad etc. I went through the forum and saw a few post with same issue. I configured my router for Port forward and tested it to make sure I am able to access the server from the outside successfully. The Xbox native video player application can see the Plex server as a DLNA server and I was able to view my library through the native application. The main issue is with the Plex Xbox 360 application not able to connect to my internal Plex server not matter what I did. I am able to see Plex server from a friend who shared his with me but not able to see my internal server. I am an IT Engineer and very familiar with network set up just so you know that I have looked at everything possible to see why I cannot connect via Plex application on Xbox 360. I checked the logs on Plex server and I see that it says : “Connection to Plex Media Server Closed”. Not sure if that is the cause but I am able to connect to server from any other devices. I am not sure what else to do here so I need help. Do I need to be a Plex pass member to view my internal library from Xbox 360? I am confused about that part. That’s the only thing I can think of. Any assistance in resolving this issue will be much appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I have tried connect Xbox 360 app to Plex by Pin and by logging in. Saw the post about NAT Loopback however Comcast routers do not allow this setting to be changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue for me, plex app on xbox 360 can’t find my server, but the built in plex player (in system video players) works fine

Same exact issue here. The built in video app from xbox 360 plays movies fine but the Plex app will not connect to server. I cannot find any solution for this on the web. I hope a Plex Engineer can see this post and provide some input ASAP. I am sure we are not the only one experiencing this issue. Thank you.

Do you have remote access enabled? The xbox app requires a remote connection to find the Plex server the first time, due to restrictions placed upon apps on the xbox architecture. Once it has connected the first time, you can disable remote access.
