Xbox One - Spinner when resuming Plex from Standby

I have my Xbox One set to Instant On mode. If Plex is the last app I was using before it was put on Standby, I am just shown a spinner when I turn the machine on and resume Plex.

It doesn't seem to matter how long I wait. Manually quitting the app and restarting immediately gets me into the app.

(Note I know people have commented about seeing spinners recently, however this has happened to me from day one)

I'm experiencing sort off the same issue. Plex worked perfectly and all of a sudden it won't start up anymore. Doesn't matter if i reboot, pulled the plug from the Xbox, quit the application it's just stuck at the start up screen with the spinner  :(

Had the same thing yesterday.  Had to hard reboot as well to get it to come back.

deinstall the app and then reinstall it.

The bug might have occured yesterday when the plex website was down.

I hope this gets sorted in the next release.

you don't need to uninstall the app...just go to home screen use the settings button and close the app...will work again when you open it fresh

I thought this was maybe related to the problem from yesterday.

There really only a new install solved it.

Forza closing the app or even a hard reboot of the xbox did nothing and the app started with the spinning circle again.

This issue for me has been occurring since day one, not just since the downtime this week.

This has been an issue for me since downtime last week. Hard rebooting the xbox and also closing the app hasn't helped at all.Had to delete and reinstall.

No actually.

The only thing that fixed it was a Hard Reset of the Xbox.

I tried signing in and out of profiles, quitting the app.  Launching other apps and then going back in.  And finally just held down the power butting and everything was okay again.

Hi,

I have the same issue and reported this at day one,

Indeed only fix I have found is to restart and reinstall.

It relates to the Sign In file, apparently not being able to be found.

If you open Media Player Preview after accessing plex, it will pop the error.

A fix would be great, as its hugely irritating having to install/uninstall/reboot just to watch the latest episode of big bang :)

Huh, this sounds very similar to the issue I'm having.  I ended up uninstall/reinstall. It is a re-occuring issue.
