Xbox one wont connect to Plex server on same network

Hi,

 

I am currently facing an issue with  Plex on Xbox one, it is detecting the external servers.

But it indicates that the server on the same network is offline. The Plex overview page displays the server as online. There is also no issue with applications on other devices (Android etc..)

 

The server is the right version (0.9.10.x).

Are you sure you have the right version?  Anything lower than 0.9.10.3 (not just any 0.9.10) won't work.  I had that issue as well and reinstalled to resolve it.

Same problem here.  I'm using correct version of server and XB One can see my server.  But the Plex App on XBox says server is offline, even though it's not.

Curious, is your X Box connected through some sort of range extender?  I'm thinking some kind of network issue and I have a fairly complicated network.

Have you got the Server conected to plex.tv (signed in?) if not you won;t be able to connect.

My xbox lost internet connectivity yesterday and could not connect to the server even though I was able to ping both boxes on my network.

Yes, signed into to plex.tv and confirmed that server is green/online on plex.tv.  I'm thinking it's some obscure network setting.

I have the same problem, works on some Xbox profiles and not others. So not sure that this is a network setting issue.

Switch

Plex server (windows) and xbox one connected to same switch.

Plex server is right version. On my external plex server it is working (same version as local server..).

So it really is an issue... with plex app not seeing the local app.

I had this issue but it turned out the server wasnt connected to plex.tv even though I was logged in. Went to the 'connected' setting and it worked.

Having this issue myself and my server IS connected..... Anyone else having this problem
