The latest firmware for Mi Box 3 contains a bug.
For those of you who are interested, hereās a tip on the command line to manage the passthrough on the mi box:
Enable developer options
adb connect <IP Mi box>: 5555
adb shell settings put global digital_sound 1
adb shell settings put global encoded_surround_output 2
encoded_surround_output 0 = auto (random behavior)
encoded_surround_output 1 = pcm
encoded_surround_output 2 = always
I recommend option 2 (always)
Hey I wanted this app so bad on my firestick 4K that I downloaded an app called aurora store that let me sideload the google play store on to my device to download google play store apps. I was able to get xplay on my firestick but itās saying you canāt play any media files anymore. I paid for the app . Is it not working because of licensing? I mean I can few all my movies and tv shows on my server just canāt play anything. Only way I can play something is if I select to transcode it.

Amazon devices donāt use Google API because they use a modified Android version.
I created a new submission for Amazon App Store.
Iām waiting for a response.

Currently I switched the navigation bar to minimized buttons that led to app closing is impossible as the back button is not available to be pressed for long time.

Please help to close the app normally on a different way.

Yea that sucks. I really want to use the app. I might just go buy a nvidia shield tomorrow.
As a variant I could try to make a special āAmazonā versionā¦ But you will need to update it manually (for some period at least).
I guess buying a shield is to expensive just for using with the app

Why do you think the app needs such an option?
For example my Nvidia Shield automatically turns off itself after some period of inactivity.
