Xxx failed to play, Error h4 codec

I saw couple of topics about this issue but all of them were locked without concreet solution,
is there any concreet solution? I found manual workaround for this issue and I can make script that may fix media files with this issue each time I find any but someone must to fix it or open an issue on their repository and see what’s the status with this issue.

My LG 55C7T TV - running WebOS TV 3.7.0-572101 (dreadlocks2-drto) - updated to Plex 3.60.1 and is now unusable. Prior to this it was working reliably. Several times Plex 3.60.1 has failed to start with the helpful message “Plex has failed to start due to an error”, with an option to Reset Plex. H4 codec error on my LG TV

hi, I’m trying to watch some of my shows on my LG TV, but when i open it, it looks veri different and more ugly than before. When i try to play something, it says i do not have LAN access (while my LG TV is on the same network. When i try to stream it, every time i receive a H4 codec error? How can i solve this? Is it due to a bad updat or something? Never had any issues with plex before the update.

Root cause:
Missing video file information.
This can be issue after update of Plex version, or some other reason.

The workarounds:

1. The simplest one I found is to go to the Video with the issue and refresh its metadata until “Video” and “Audio” quality will appear instead of showing “None”.
2. Other option is to use MKVtoolnix gui and Run multiplexing without any changes.

I just update my Plex Server a few days ago, and suddenly I got the H4 Codec Error when I play my movies on LG TV.
Can anyone help?
