Yet Another No Movie Poster Thread

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488

Logs: Plex Media Server Logs_2019-03-09_01-28-22.zip (5.0 MB)

Plex server has not been downloading movie posters for a couple of weeks, noticed it after I added a couple of custom posters. TV posters and all other metadata downloading fine.

Local Media Assets is at the bottom of both Plex Movies and The Movie Database agents. Naming convention is “/Media/Movies/name (year)/name (year).ext”. ipv6 disabled. Log attached, having restarted the server first, as I’m unsure where to go from here.

In Plex or in the OS of the server machine?
If only in Plex, disable it in the server machine as well.

There is also this:

IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'\\\\?\\C:\\Users\\Thomas\\AppData\\Local\\Plex Media Server\\Plug-in Support\\Caches\\com.plexapp.agents.imdb\\HTTP.system\\CacheInfo'

which indicates an issue with access permissions in the Plex data folder
Shut down Plex server and clear out the folder
C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Caches

Do also make sure that your anti virus software is not interfering by excluding the folder C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\ from scans.

This appears to have resolved the issue. Thank you.

I have not been able to download movie posters either over the last 2 weeks, all other metadata downloads. I am trying to pinpoint the problem, but not sure which log to look in. I downloaded the logs, but the last log was from 2/15 which is strange because I have added movies over the last 2 weeks. So where is the latest log? Another strange issue, when I sort movies by title they all appear which is 472, but when I sort by date added it only shows 433. My movies are stored on a Seagate Media Cloud which came preinstalled with Plex on it. Over the last few months, I set my router to have IPV6 disabled which corrected this problem, but unfortunately this is no longer working. I even tried enabling IPV6 both on the router and on plex settings, but that didn’t change anything. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Where id you look?
It appears you have 2 servers set up.
One is on your Mac, but it is a very old version. If you looked on your mac for the logs, you will get no relevant information.

You will have to look at your NAS device (which I don’t know, so I can’t provide specifics about it)

I have a Segate Personal Cloud and read some other posts about trying to view the files. Others said you need to enable SSH which I did and to view the files from a terminal so not sure if that means my pc, but I downloaded PuTTY(which I saw on another post) and tried typing in the folder that Plex suggested PLEX_HOME/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs/.

But not sure what to do from this point as it shows no directory exists. I’ve included a snapshot2019-03-16_12-07-28

Sorry, I can’t help you how to handle your NAS device. I don’t know these.
(But I am really sure that you can simply use the Windows file explorer to access it. Try typing in \\192.168.1.2 + Enter into the address bar.)
