Do you have any firewall on your computer with Plex on it? Sorry can’t remember if you mentioned that yet.
Its completely disabled
I also noticed that if I delete all the port forwarding, switch over to UPnP, and allow Plex to pick the port, UPnP picks up on the port and maps it.
Yeah upnp can work but is not stable…
Did you have upnp disabled when the port forwarding was setup?
correct, UPnP was disabled. Just trying crazy ideas. #2 and #3 on the tracert also seem a little odd. Assuming that’s from the ISP.
It almost seems as though one of those has a firewall that opens for a few seconds allowing the query. Then closes.
Yeah those 10.s look weird but could just be some routers misconfigured on the ISP side.
Can you see about a ddwrt version for your nighthawk? If you do you can run a Wireshark right on that guy and see if your requests are hitting your router.
Or run Wireshark on the PC and do the canyouseeme.org test and post those results.
was there any resolution? I seem to have the same problem. Everything was working fine and now cannot get remote access. I have a netgear r6700. not technical when it comes to networking but I tried upnp as well as forwarding (per the conversation in this string).
Nothing is working. This had been working fine up until about a month ago. Now as other(s) have noted it shows ok for a couple seconds and then “not available”.
I am hardwired to my internet.
can you see me port’ 80 & 32400…when I checked the port I received an error stating"connection timed out".???
I removed UpNp and then added 32400 int/ext to port forward, disabled firewall and tested again. Sucess. however…when I manually specify 32400 as a port in plex remote access I don’t even get a few seconds of access…it just fails.
also, with the firewall on I error out on canyouseeme.org.
