I don’t see the “yellow” button on my KS8000 remote though…?
Same issue here, after using the new app once and having repowered on the tv I got a home screen with no thumnils and then a crash and then black screens.
I had to delete and reinstall the app but still getting an error on the dashboard.
Why can’t we stick with the old version? What are the benefits of this new one besides not working and a different look?

I don’t know if Samsung have subtle differences in their firmware per region. But my KS8000 has never had an issue with any of the releases including previews.

I have a 2016 K8000 Samsung TV. Same issue here. Every time I start the app, It tells me it cannot establish a connection with my server. When it tries to do so, it just stays locked up and I have to do a hard restart on my tV every single time. I love the new interface but it’s just as buggy as the last time they tried updating the app a few months back.
Installed the userwidget and I hit the yellow button after seeing the issue again. On my remote, I don’t have a physical yellow button, and had to open the “123” menu to do it. Nothing happened when I hit it, so I don’t know if it successfully sent logging to you guys.
I have a KS8000 tv as well and I have to constantly re install the app because when I turn it on, it has a black screen with a whole bunch of small line code. There is definitely something wrong wit plex since this update. I had no issues until they updated it
Have a similar issue. Only on my Samsung smart TVs, my media can be seen - but if I click into anything I get “there was an unexpected error” every time. Plex works FINE on all other devices. This is insane, and the app through Samsung TV is buggy and garbage. How can this not be fixed by you guys?

Thanks, everyone, that has PMed me directly and have also sent more logs with the build above. I am currently digging through all the logs to try and find a cause, and will keep everyone updated.
For now, uninstall the app, and install the previous preview build here and see if that fixes the issue for you. During preview testing, nobody reported the black screen with that build so maybe that version doesn’t have the bug.

I hope it still works when i use my tv tomorrow because it is still build 3.84.2 I see. Nothing changed. I had to use the yellow button

Hi, I sent you a PM. In my case it did not work. I keep reinstalling the 3.84.2 version from the smart hub since there is no other. It works for a day until i restart the tv
Hi - have deleted the problem build and downloaded the zip as suggested above, but tv does not see the ‘userwidget’ file, although quite happily sees any other file on the disc. Any idea when a new release will come out that solves this problem?
There has been an update to 3.84.3 that should address this issue for now while we figure out what the cause is.

I’ve installed 3.84.3 dated 15/2/2019, still no dice. Running a ua65ks8000 TV, latest firmware. Main menu appears, unable to open any content info, let alone playback anything.
if you press the EXTRA button, you should get some onscreen instructions with the coloured buttons
