Hey everyone. I’ve been a Plex user for years, but just recently moved my large music collection into it too. As I’ve migrated my music from iTunes, I’ve noticed a few things.

An attribute to include a various artists album with song artists. For example if I look at the page for Artist A, I do not see the songs they have on soundtrack/compilations. In some cases, however, I would not want them to appear. If Artist B is on a lot of mixed DJ albums, I don’t necessarily want those tracks included on the artist page since they may be more of a snippet and not the whole track. I wish there was a checkbox on the album to include/exclude tracks from the artist page.

Is there a way to paste a Last.FM URL for direct link when matching the artist when API won’t match. This happened with artists that had special characters in the name, for example NERD I had to use N E R D to get it to match and other artists like HA:TFELT were more difficult. I know with TVDB, you can add the ID as a search query.

An easy way to see if something is matched or not without clicking a drop-down? (or add it to search)

A way to create folders for playlists. I create a monthly mix and have about 10 years of these in the Playlists section. I would to group them into yearly folders (like collections for movies).

A way to see which playlists a track is included in? In iTunes I could right click and see. Sometimes I’m replacing an older version of an album and I want to see what playlists the tracks are in so I can replace them with the new version (like when a remastered album comes out). A message that the track is included in xxx playlist before deletion would also be nice.

Ways to customize what columns/attributes in playlist view (stars, plays, etc.)? I sometimes create a playlist with a bunch of songs, but want ti whittle it down and some attributes like rating could help.

It is nice to have concert data is, but can it be localized to my zip code? It doesn’t help to see the artist is live in another country.

Is there any way to download all tracks in a playlist? There should be more options when selecting all in a playlist. Add to another playlist, download, etc.
Thanks for your consideration. With iTunes likely dying soon and maybe being replaced with a marzipan music app, I think there may be more people looking to Plex. The recent changes have been great and I hope to see more in the future!
