Maybe force it by adding a matching tag. I have the top level folder named like this A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) {tmdb-377} and its detected fine. Maybe the (1984) hint is not working or enough for some reason.
Anyhow, placing the tag will force a match and it should sort it out. Plex dance might also be needed …
