That YouTube video is flawed. I’ve chatted with the author. He now understands why you don’t put data there but apparently hasn’t done anything about the bad video.
Create the shares normally: Movies, TV
While creating the shares, Permissions tab, give user Plex permission to read it.
Now you can move your media there where it belongs.
Putting media in the Plex share is not supported. It often causes complete failure of PMS.
