Added The Grinch (2018) and Plex will not add it to my movies list or section could someone help me or explain why I have tried renaming it to just The Grinch and also added the (2018) to movie file and folder but nothing is working.

Have you explored my second link above? Als, please add some detail about your setup. Server version, plattform, where are media stored etc.

I have found that it does mix up the meta data from time to time. I would look for duplicates. On the related note is there an easy way to see all the movies with duplicates ?

My personal experience to resolve that issue with Grinch movies is add the year to the movie and folder for the newest one so folder should say Grinch (2018) and so should movie.
