Which agent and scanner is the preferred option to use when adding TV Shows ?
For 99.9% of people, the default one (Plex TV Series agent & scanner) is what you want. You shouldn’t need to change what is selected for you when creating the library.
I have 160 TV Shows to add, some of them arent adding and I dont know which ones even though I have used a TV Renamer program to title them correctly.
for example, the old Twilight Zone is getting grouped in with new Twilight Zone series.
I have tried adding in small batches but that doesn’t sort outlay problem with grouping.
How are they named? Adding the year to the folder should be all that’s required, e.g. /tv/The Twilight Zone (1959)/ and /tv/The Twilight Zone (2019)/.
Note that once the files are scanned in, changing the file names won’t rematch them - you will need to rescan them in (see Plex Dance).
I have the new first season of Arcane series in my Cartoons\Series\Bluray HD\Arcane (2021) HD\Arcane_S01E01…mp4 folder/files and Plex TV Scanner doesn’t recognize the series. It sees the Dragon_ Race To The Edge (2015) series in Cartoons but not Arcane.
I have thousands of movies, music, series, comedy, concerts, Docu’s, and other tidbits with no issues so my structure and naming is rock solid. IMDb has metadata for this series I’m not sure about TVDB but I would think they do too.

Hello, I have problem with Plex TV Series agent with Hawkeye, only shows me a 94’ Hawkeye TV show with Lynda Carter, but the MCU Hawkeye doesn’t appear, with any way you search it.
