Android app crashes or gives error when trying to play synced music: "An error occurred while playing this item"

This appears to have started occurring again - Tablet Samsung S7+ and Phone Samsung S20+.
Error appears to be the same as before and following the delete sync, remove from authorised devices, remove content, uninstall and restart process, no changes.

Plex Android unable to play synced mp3 files

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3035 Player Version#: 8.3.1 (Android) I tried for both Android and iOS, but could only use file manager on my Android DAP. Apparently when I sync my mp3 files, whether I set it to Original or 320kbps, Plex somehow converts it into mkv file. Thus, I can’t play the file on neither my android nor iOS devices. Sync not working - android - for music

I get an error: There was an error adding the item to sync. please check your internet connection and try again later When trying to sync my new installed plex music. I can stream the music fine, but no synchronization is possible. I checked and my plex app has permissions to save to my SD car.d Where can I look for possible reasons? Thanks Jo
