Server Version#: 1.20.5.3600
Player Version#: 7.10
When scrolling through my movies or tv category in grid view, it seems when loading cover art, it keeps shooting it back to the top of the list constantly. The 7.10 update claims that it fixed it but the bug is still present.
That is correct. When I am scrolling down in grid view, it will randomly shoot it back to the top. It seems to be triggered when scrolling down and the app is populating cover art from the server. When using list view, it never has this problem.
Same here, just noticed it over the weekend. It’s happening in my Movies collection, Grid view in the main Library tab.
When I am scrolling in grid view it functions normally, until I enter a movie info page. When I return to the library screen, it shoots back up to the top.
Also, the highlighted letter in the alphabetical right-hand menu remains at the letter I was on when I entered the movie info, until I start scrolling on each movie image again. If that helps!
Same issue here. VERY annoying. Doesn’t happen every time. It’s an intermittent problem. Most commonly happens for me when clicking the “menu”/back button and returning from a movie. I have also seen it while scrolling as other users mentioned.
Please fix this Plex team! I’m happy to cooperate in troubleshooting if needed.
I also noticed that the latest Apple TV release had a fix which sounded hopeful… sadly i still can easily reproduce this bug.
Here’s a link to where I posted in another topic for this issue… i’m seeing several forum posts pop up on this topic, so hopeful the devs get to fixing this long-standing and painfully frustrating issue.
Macintosh Server Version: 1.21.0.3616
Macintosh OSX 10.14.6
Apple TV Version: 7.10
Same issue here, also when using the A-Z fast track on the right hand side, scrolling down near the bottom, closer to Z, it allso will jump back to the top, without ever selecting any movie.
I have over 1500 movies in the library, with a mix of 4K and 1080p movies. It’s gotten to the point that I’m not able to select anything from S-Z due to it jumping back to the top.
One more thing, the Apple TV app also will randomly quit out, then reload, periodically, while navigating in grid view.
So I just installed the 7.10 version of this app in a newly updated Apple TV 4K. Didn’t have the issue all afternoon, but then it started happening after a couple of hours of use. The only thing that stopped it was deleting and reinstalling the app.
So far, it’s stopped doing the auto scroll back to the top of the library. Will report back in the coming hours/days.
Same here. I thought it might have something to do with the new adaptive background colors, but when I rolled back to an earlier build the issue is there as well. As someone said earlier, it is especially annoying when at the end of the alphabet. With over 1500 movies it can take upwards of 10 seconds to zoom back to the top. Cannot reproduce this bug on demand, but it happens all the time.
I’m having the same issue. It seems to manifest for me in two different ways.
What is reported here: if I scroll just a little too fast on the list of movies, etc., Plex “snaps back” to the top of the screen. To get around it, I have to tap the Apple TV remote on its sides to go from item to item.
Returning to the library selection screen from a library item by pressing the menu button, no matter what, jumps back to the top of the screen. I dare not go into the Zs of my movie collection.
Anyways, hope that there will be a fix soon. I’m running 7.10, which doesn’t fix the issue.
