I really donât what to tell you the wrong thing at this pointâŠ
I was hoping that Otto who is a Plex Ninja (Moderator) who I saw answering another post would pick this upâŠ
well I guess Iâll monitor this thread for any future responses. thanks for the help and the escalation.
@OttoKerner might be able to help.
Iâm having this issue too. And unfortunately, I bought premium and now my subscription is being wastedâŠ
Unless either of you live within the same household, anyone wanting to share content should ALWAYS use the SHARE LIBRARIES under the FRIENDS section on the sharing page. Add each other via email or username but DONT ADD EACH OTHER AS HOME USERS. When you add a friend using the HOME sharing method, that user will be added as a user under your server and can have dire consequences later (friend fallout, drunk deleting of your content, other evil things). OR the other situation can happen: your friend accidentally adds you to their HOME user group in under their SERVER, under which youâll have to ask them to delete you as a user and redo the sharing setup properly. Your server probably is untouched but I would first make sure to delete each other from both your servers and start fresh. It looks like you still have access to USERS & SHARING. Then restart Plex on your computer hosting your Plex server.
The other section I would check is AUTHORIZED DEVICES and see if your server still exists.

Sign out of your account from web app, or which other methods you used.
LAST RESORT: If you STILL donât see your server come back, delete your server from the AUTHORIZED DEVICES list and reconnect it/re-tokenize it. This doesnât delete the data of your setup (libraries, metadata), youâre just going to reclaim the server that was locally on the PC or machine your setup is on to regain access again.
local hosted Plex access: http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html
Your friend did not invite you to his Plex Home. Thatâs a good thing in this case.
The last server was removed from your account a few months ago. Since then no server has been signed-in to your account.
I think you need to perform this procedure https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
to try and get your locally installed server back into your plex.tv account.
Thank you, @OttoKerner that solution worked perfectly! my server was intact and just need to be claimed. Thanks to @nydave69 and @D_eight6 for your help as well.
Dude, you are a genius
