[BUG] Server configuration is not available

Server Version#: 1.15.8.1163 Beta

Hello, the server has just been updated to version 1.15.8.1163 and now I can not access its settings, “Server configuration is not available.” and if I intend to access through the local network (http://192.168.0.2:32400) gives the error “404 Not Found”

Nvidia Shield 2017

It happens to someone else? any ideas?

Same Here on Nvidia Shield

Same problem…I am running my PMS on a Synoloigy DS718+ and it has been fine for over a year. Now all of a sudden I try to connect to it via the console and it tells me it is unavailable. The first issue happened 2 days ago, when it had to find the PMS via indirect means. Now it just does not find the PMS, and both the PMS and my PC are on the same internal network.

I just updated the PMS to 1.15.8.1163, thinking it might be that but no go. Its like it is treated the PMS as remote, when its not remote.

I am also getting the same thing when I go into the server settings after upgrading to: 1.15.8.1163.

Nvidia Shield Pro.

Same issue here on DS916+.

If I restart it can sometimes get it to work for a while for streaming but can not access settings. Same behaviour in that it’s indirect when it’s on same local network. Can not access via LOCAL_IP/web either.

Same here on the Shield Pro after updating to 1.15.8.1163. But it only occurs on my Shield Pro. My 16GB Model is actually working right on 1163…

Got the same problem. Plex doesn’t fetch metadata since the last update either.

me too…

Same here, but play seems to work.

I have the same problem…

Has anyone gotten a solution. I am seeing another thread going but I have tried the faq options and still not seeing the Plex server.

In the case of the device that is treated in this thread (Nvidia Shield) the only thing we can do is wait for them to launch an update that corrects it. :frowning:

Same here. Plex now unconfigurable on my Shield.

Done more digging. If I try to access directly by IP address on the local network (http://192.168.1.2:32400) it redirects to http://192.168.1.2:32400/web/index.html and then reports 404 Not Found.

If I access via app.plex.tv, the web app functions OK except for the server config menu items.

I’m not getting artwork for new items added to the library. Items show in the library and play but no metadata is downloaded/displayed.

I was able to adb to my shield and grab the log files. Logs.zip (3.1 MB)

Same issue over here.

Same issue, can’t access my media through web browser. Already logged in apps, such as on the apple tv still seem to work.

ANY Update from anyone at PLEX?

This is ridiculous!

Long standing issues (>years!!!) like tv themes not playing, lack of a proper shieldtv player profile, etc, some which were introduced by updates and never fixed; missing updates for many months (half a year!!!) to have 1 or 2 bugs fixed and at the same time, disabling Plex pass features just on the ShieldTV (Premium Music) without a proper explanation, and now this, again, we can’t even access the server configuration page… This shows how much testing and attention this version is getting…

It’s really frustrating, and since I can’t figure out a single good explanation for how all of this happens on the ShieldTV PMS version, the Plex team will most likely keep silent… It has been years and we never really had good support for this version…

I used Plex before the ShieldTV, and a low power server able to satisfy my needs with Plex was really a dream, so I promptly brought a ShieldTV Pro and a Plex Lifetime Pass so I could support the development of Plex on the ShieldTV…

I can’t really express how disapointed and frustrated I am with Plex for the last two years…
