[BUG] Server configuration is not available

I have this exact same problem and I am also running the beta version. I can still encode files to my hard drive that stores my Plex versions, but I cannot access the server settings via Plex Web and metadata agents are borked for any new content I add. I hope Plex pushes an update to Google Play for us so this can be fixed!

Same issue with latest media server update 2 days ago.

@jp77 Can you edit the title of this thread to start with [BUG] as that will stand out more to the Plex Devs?

I have the same issue since latest PMS on nVidia Shield.

I thought I was going mental. Just changed the router, and haven’t checked server settings since the last update - so I thought I did something wrong on the config side, but everything looked fine in the firewall and the port forwarding settings…

Thank god it wasn’t me or the connection, but just the usual buggy Plex

I fixed the plex client / server configuration issue by uninstalling the Plex Media Server and reinstalling it. It started to work again. It required nvidia shield to rescan my entire library.

seems like whenever the web client or plex media is down you gotta go through this crap over and over again

Yeah well, that’s not happening. My lib is huge, and for now I don’t need the server settings.

The client works just fine, so I will leave it be, and hope that they fix it in the next update.

Also looks like Plex DVR is screwed by this update. I’m getting nothing new recording, and recent recordings shown as in the library but unavailable.

FIX THIS!!!

I have the same problem. I do not have access to the server configuration. I have the last versions of all on Nvidia Shield TV. 404 Not Found…

Please Fix this!!!

untill last night (8 hours ago) i still had acces, now i get the same as u guys, no acces to server settings ^^

im also running latest update on a shield 2015

I also had same problem after update. Had to reset both Plex and PMS on shield, reinstalled update and reconfigure library from my library backup copy to solve this.
Com’on Plex devs. Do your job. Seriously.

Yes, same issues here.
Seriously, whilst I of course accept that these are “Public Beta” releases and the risks are all mine, big dumb breakages like this latest one do make me wonder whether even cursory testing or preliminary QA is going on?

@StSimm1 or anyone from Plex, can we get a new beta Real Soon Now to get us all back on track and functional please?

The issue has been raised for the development team

same issue here. come on, how does this make it past QC? Now I know why my wife was complaining about commercials in her tv shows too…

sa2000,

At least that’s something but I beg the question as to why this wasn’t this raised to development 5 days ago when we had 2 threads about it.

I know this is version is in Beta, but come on. The Plex development team should know by know that someone needs to be looking at the forums like right after a release. Seems like we always find bugs withing the first 30 min of installing a new version… (which is sad… and I know this because I work in QA)

@sa2000 thanks for the acknowledgement.

Can we ensure this gets very high priority please?
As well as the Settings not being accessible, any Media being added is also not being Matched and metadata added. I discovered this just now when adding a bunch of movies. My “test” PMS instance running under macOS matched the same movies just fine, so I know it’s just the Shield PMS misbehaving.

I can also confirm the metadata is not being added because I just spend like 45 min adding 100% of the coverart for my albums. Usually its around 30% that I have to add.

I solved this issue for now by uninstalling and just going back to an old version. Hopefully they release a fix soon.

Last time I use a plex beta. Great support.
