Server not accessible since last update

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.49.2 && Plex on Shield 8.11.0.22186

Hi,
Since the last update, I can not access to my Plex server.
The only way I can is to stop the server on the shield and restart it.

The server is only accessible for like 10 seconds. It is why there is verbose in my server log. I do not have the time to disable them.

Ps: Of course, I had check that I had the last version of Plex server and Plex Player on the nvidia shield.

I have a very similar problem. I think this is a problem that Plex will need to solve. I have been trying for 2 days to fix it. Going back to putting the server on a PC elsewhere on the network until this is resolved.

upgraded to 1.21.1.3830, Now server keeps crashing with ucrtbase.dll errors.

Broken for me too, required me to update the server, I did so through the Play store, it’s still asking me to update the server.

Edit: Fixed it by clearing the cache, going to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Show system apps > Plex media server > Clear cache

I have put the server on a PC. The player runs fine on the shield. Faster now that its on a i7 intel rather than Arm Tegra. Problem of course is that PC has to be on all the time. Suggest you do this till this issue is resolved.

I am glad I found this because I thought I broke something.

I’ll try clearing cache today.

Basically, since the last update clients (except a direct link to the web server over http :32400 and shields plex client) can’t see the server.

Edit1: cleared cache, currently it works. Hopefully won’t crash again. :slight_smile:

I cleared the cache of the server and the player and it still don’t work.

This is actually getting really strange.
This evening Plex server wasn’t working again.
So I went into settings on shield turned it off, back on. It worked for a few minutes then stopped again. I repeated this twice more, as soon as shield went to sleep it stopped working.
Today though in the morning, it works just fine.

I turned on logging today and hopefully, there will be something in so devs can fix it.

p.s. there were no changes in configuration or network, only update could cause this

After few hours, the server become availaible, but only on other device then the shield player.

So, the problem is probably the nvidia shield plex player.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache, moved my entire library and still nothing. Sometimes I see some of the library but its all mixed up If I run a scan or update meta data it crashes… I had no issues till this last update… Does plex support even read these reports ?

In this case, server was not available on android clients on 27th, around 21.00. After few hours it just works again. These random drops were not before the latest update.

Plex not accessible again, almost every day from android devices randomly, then after 30minutes it works normally again. Can we please get some support here?(File removed)

Anything more on this? I too am having issues since this update. Haven’t been able to access the server once. Even after uninstalling and re-installing both Plex and the media server. Extremely frustrated by this

Same issue. Running 1.21.1.3830 and the Plex Web player 4.49.2 will not connect to my server. Maybe there is some incompatibility. I thought i was going crazy until I found this thread.

Same here, but my server went down before updating to 3830. I tried updating to fix that issue, but still nothing. Have cleared caches, both server and player. Anybody got a solution other than clearing caches?

I have the same problem now, the server isn’t starting anymore even after deleting cache of the server and the app as well as rebooting the complete Shield. Before having this issue today I always lost the connection to the server after around a day and just force stopping the server or rebooting the shield solved it. I run the latest software and habe a Shield TV Pro 2019.
