[BUG] Server configuration is not available

Thanks @sa2000, first “official” acknowledgement of the problems I think after nearly 7 days?
I assume this will also fix the critical issues to do with movies/shows not being Matched and metadata not downloaded as well that appeared in this beta, as Agents don’t seem to be working from what I can tell?

Yes all agents and system bundle were not running

Hopefully you guys can get this out before the weekend. After this release and after (I hope) everything seems fine for the items in Plex that I use, I am GOING OFF the beta as I don’t have time to be crippled for over 7 days.

@sa2000 Thanks for confirming. Is there any kind of ETA for the release of the fix?

I think judging by the comments here and in other threads you (Plex) may have lost a fair bit of goodwill from the “public beta” participants due to the lack of communication and the feeling that our feedback is greeted with silence for days and days, can we address this in future please?

Going forward is there a better method we need to do to report bugs like this?

Write it on a piece of paper, stuff it in a bottle, and toss it in the ocean.

The update is out (v. 1.15.8.1198)!
Now the server settings ara available again.

Is it also now “matching” shows and pulling down metadata again?
I won’t be able to update for another half a day or so …

I made a test adding two movies, and Plex was able to matching them and to download metadata as expected (did not try with TV shows).

@goose2600 Thanks, both movies and tv shows are failing to Match on my current 1163 so hopefully the new one fixes the lot.

We just pushed out 1.15.8.1198 to beta a little earlier and it should be rolling out to everyone, this should fix the matching and the server settings issue.

Sorry on making you wait so long for a resolution, it was bit of a weird bug that only showed up after installing an updated 1.15.8 build over the previous one.

Thanks @drzoidberg33 but there’s still a problem … fetching the DVR EPG is failing at 1%.

There’s a whole bunch of lines in the log of the form:

Did someone forget to put in the correct API key? “xxx” doesn’t look likely …

@drzoidberg33 thanks for the update and explanation. All I wanted (and would like for the future) is communication along the way - that bugs, especially horrible ones like this was, are acknowledged so that we know you’re working on it. We got NOTHING for 6-7 days …

This is a separate issue from the OP - the xxx is a red herring - it’s just there to obfuscate sensitive data in the logs.

A new forum post with complete logs would probably be the best - I’ll ask somebody that works with DVR to take a look.

I know we were too slow on this one :frowning_face: Will make sure to keep you guys updated if something like this happens again.

Thanks @drzoidberg33, I think that more timely and open dialogue would go a long way towards improving perceptions and attitudes around here and towards the product generally. Appreciate your response.
