Verified I have version 3.84.3 and plex now loads correctly on my UN65KS8000FXZA
Still having transcoding problems when using subtitles.
I have a 2017 samsung… MU8000
Is it correct i still running 3.84.2?
Installed 3.84.3 , no black screen as yet
Tried powering down from wall (which caused the black screen everytime in 3.84.2 ) and no issue

1080p movie and using external srt subtitles and the server switches to transcoding after minutes of normal direct playback.

You said the fix for the subtitles problem exists already but couldn’t be included in the next release. I understand that the black screen was a far bigger problem but couldn’t it be added as well? This is the second release since you said the fix exists.

i have a 2016 series 9 4k uhd quantum samsung tv. 65" curved. Forget the model number but that’s the info.
Plex and TV worked fine for years. Got the update and it killed my TV. Had to do a factory reset and now all the apps and everything is working fine again EXCEPT for the plex app. It’s just a black screen with a bunch of text.

my PLEX application stooped to read .avi files.
I have a Samsung Smart TV (UE50NU7020) and the version of PLEX is 3.84.2.
I’ve noticed that is another version 3.48.3 which can fix this issue, but I don’t know how to install it in my TV.
This is not a new release, and has no changes. It’s a repackaging of 3.84.1
Is this on 3.84.3 of the plex app?
How do I check the app version on Tizen?

Hello! My first post here. I noticed a problem with DTS 5.1 audio. When I started playing a movie with dts audio and external subtitles everything works fine at first. I was happy that finally dts works with subtitles! But a couple of minutes later plex started to buffering and audio was switched to pcm from my tizen and no dts option available, only dolby digital. When I stop the movie and start again same thing happens. First dts, then pcm. Haven’t tested without subtitles yet, because I only watch movies and shows with subtitles.
KS8000 here since the update movies that used to direct play now direct stream and freeze frame for about 5 sec every 5-10 min. only way to fix the freezing is to switch it to transcode. new update didnt fix the issue.

Seems the latest release of 3.84.3 MAY have fixed the issue with model UN55KU7000FXZA. My tv auto-updated to this version today. Tried closing and re-opening to try and reproduce the black screen and text. So far issue hasn’t returned but not 100 percent certain it’s fixed.
Same issue hear with blank screen and coding. I also have cut out on live tv streams after 30secs and I can’t seem to access the plex web app on my tv? It loads, shows the plex logo then just a blank page?? Before the 8th Feb update all was working well. Can we please have a link to revert back to that version of the app???
