I cannot access anymore my videos with Plex app on iPhone on cellular data.
I can only access my videos only using Wi-Fi of my home network.
Before password change, I was able to play my videos from everywhere out of my home with cellular data.
What is happening please? How to resolve this issue?
Thanks
I’m have the same problem, Whats more, I also have remote access to a friends Plex Server running on windows, and have no problem with the that remote connection.
Haven’t had any luck resolving it.
Rebooting devices makes no difference, VPN has no effect, deleted and reinstalled app didn’t help.
Mac mini (Mid 2011)
OSX 10.13.6
Plex Server: Version 1.28.0.5999
iPhone 8+
iOS 15.6.1
Plex iOS v8.8
Reinstalling the app won’t make a difference if there’s a problem with the remote access setup.
To pin down what’s causing this for you I recommend you have a look at the related troubleshooting guide and share your findings.
A VPN will certainly make this more complicated.
@asafa63 : did you reclaim your server after resetting your password? If the server is signed out you won’t be able to see it from outside your home network.
Yes, I reclaimed it after password change.

Thanks. Will do. To expand, I can access the plex server and content on my home ‘work’ mac mini which is a 2014 iteration, and my 2009 mac book pro plex server (both of which are linked to different accounts), along with a shared library hosted by a plex friend all with no issue. It’s just the primary server I first set up on my 2011 mini, the one my account is linked to that I cannot access unless i’m logged into the same router.
