So…after doing some more troubleshooting, I’ve discovered that disabling my ESET firewall resolves the access of my library to my android devices on my local network. But… obviously permanently disabling my firewall is not an option. Can anybody by chance walk me through how I could configure ESET to allow my mobile devices on my home network to receive my Plex media?
Get rid of 3rd-party firewall software. The one that comes with Windows is sufficient and is much less interrupting, as it doesn’t have a need to remind the user frequently about what a wonderful job it does.
As @OttoKerner indicated you should not need another firewall - Windows has its own firewall
If you continue to use ESET, you will probably need to add rules to allow local tcp port 32400 for Plex Media Server.exe -
