Cannot access server after password change

Server Version#: 1.28.1.6104-788f82488

I changed my password because of the email everybody got, but now I’m not authorized on my own server! Ridiculous!

And I tried to follow the instructions that have been posted many times here, but none of them worked. And I just recommended Plex to my brother in law to solve an issue he has with his new WiFi, but now I have to tell him to stay away from Plex.

Please email me specifics that ACTUALLY WORK.

same here… changed my password and lost access to my server.

I did follow the instructions on editing the preferences file and restarted the app, but no changes. Thanks Plex!

I can’t claim mine either. "Not authorized”

The thread at HELP: Not able to access my server after password change suggests removing the server from authorized devices, but no luck there. Am now prompted to get (as in download the software) plex agent

In the instructions from the email here:

Instruction #3 says " 1. Click the Settings button in the top bar and then select General under the server entry in the sidebar. If more than one Plex Media Server is present on the network, select the server in which you’re interested by using the dropdown on the left."

My server is not listed at all.

I went to the other thread about expired certificates, but they said stick in the thread you’re in, so here I sit waiting for somebody from Plex to fix my certificate.
