Cannot open plex on windows via synology

Been using Plex on my synology for years. Usually I open plex on windows 10 to check for updates and install them there. Today I tried and plex will not open on the pc, I just get the Large PLEX on screen and it times out.

I went to the plex site and Dl’d the update, “PlexMediaServer-1.41.5.9522-a96edc606-x86_64,” and tried installing it manually via the package center. However, it just says loading but never finishes.

Can anyone help, the only change I made recently was to install and run TailScale. I disabled the package to see if it was causing issues but to no avail. TIA.

@ChuckPa Followed your steps exactly including the code, it responded to the claim and finished the install. however, I’m still getting stuck at the plex opening page. I can still access it from Roku and use it but cannot get into it from the pc.

When you use a browser on the PC, opening it by it’s LAN IP address.

no, it does not. It gives me the PLEX logo but then times out.

Please stop Plex

Now, using FileStation, navigate to PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server

Right-click “Logs” → “Compress to Logs.zip”

Download and attach that zip file here please.

Please also try using an incognito window.
