sounds like a problem with secure connections, ask what his server is sat to.
Mine is:
Secure connections
Preferred
When set to “Required”, some unencrypted connections (originating from the Media Server computer) will still be allowed and apps that don’t support secure connections will not be able to connect at all.
many with same problem, should be preferred or disabled not Required.
