Cant add R.I.P.D. (2013)

I reloaded windows 10 on my system and now R.I.P.D. (2013) will not show up it worked before on the same system but now no luck. I usually have all my movies in the same folder and it works great. I have tried to put it in it’s own folder and still nothing is there any ideas on what I can do.

you need to look on the moviedb how to name it, and you might have to change the way it is named.

I have checked the moviedb and it says R.I.P.D. (2013) and that is how it is named already. Thanks for the response though.

Name it R_I_P_D

In particularly stubborn cases, use the .nfo trick (requires the movie to be in its own subfolder)
the IMDB ID for your movie would be tt0790736 btw.

I just tried it and the movie total goes up by 1 for a few seconds then it goes back down by 1. So it doesnt match it.

What if you just name the file “RIPD” without the periods and then manually match it?

Sorry I just looked through the log and it was matching it to frozen for some reason I fixed it now Thanks everyone for your help

When you have the item open in media manager, click on the “3 dots” at the bottom of the column on the left (see image 1). It will bring up a menu (see image 2) that will look something like this, but it should say something like “match item” or such. You can use this to fix an incorrect match as well if Plex misidentifies a movie.

sorry to bring back an old topic but i’m having the same issue. RIPD is being recognized as Frozen (2013). i’ve tried all the suggestions here and it doesn’t work. the renaming of the folder, nfo file. i tried matching and manual matching. i noticed it’s only TMDB now and no IMDB. i’ve tried the ID numbers from both websites in the search.

any other ideas? how did you solve it by looking at the log file?

Sorry for showing up late to the party, but I just ran into this as well. Exact same problem. Always shows up as frozen. Tried

  • R.I.P.D
  • RIPD
  • R_I_P_D

Only thing that worded was the nfo trick mentioned above
