Can't find a match Plex Movie Agent

Server Version#: Latest
Player Version#: Latest

Hello. I cant find a match for 2 movies using Plex Movie Agent:
Elon Musk: The Real Life Iron Man 2018
Men in Black: International (2019)
Plex Media Server Logs_2019-09-23_04-21-22.zip (2.2 MB)

Your logs are all empty - probably a big problem there.

Men in Black International (2019) is easily found at IMDB (Plex Movie)
Elon Musk The Real Life Iron Man (2018) doesn’t exist at TMDB, and since it’s a Documentary searching for it with Plex Movie is a waste of time - Plex Movie doesn’t do Documentaries.

Issue one: discover why your logs are all empty.
Issue two: Use TMDB to look up Documentaries, if that fails either sign up and add the missing Doc to TMDB, or use the Personal Media Agent and hand edit.

Simply because ‘Debug logging’ is disabled.

Enabled debug logs

You forgot to stop and restart Plex Server.
Plus, afterwards you need to try to download metadata again for this one movie.

btw, what kind of drive is E: ?

Here are new logs after restart
E is NTFS SSD 512gb

Check the default metadata agent for your movie library and the language setting.

Take a look at the Plex XML info of this movie.
Look what is inside the guid="...." What does it say?

I just used auto match plex movie and it worked

I unmatched and downloaded xml
43170.zip (1.6 KB)

Why did you unmatch? This destroyed the evidence.

BTW it actually matched without imdb ratings,
I think it used different agent instead plex movie.

You can tell by looking at the guid= in the XML.
If it says ‘imdb’, it used Plex Movie.

guid=“com.plexapp.agents.themoviedb://479455?lang=en”

Yes, it used TMDB, then.

You can try and perform Fix Match again and explicitly select Plex Movie as agent under ‘Search Options’.
But it won’t work on the documentary – only on the Men in Black movie.

here is the matched xml
43170_matched.zip (3.1 KB)

Plex just don’t find it using plex movie
